Buffalo Rent  Cooperative

Here to share insights, data, and resources for low-income renters in Buffalo.

Our Mission

The Buffalo Rent Cooperative was created to give people a voice. Through data, writing, and community resources, this project aims to improve the lives of Buffalo’s low-income residents. Whether the reader is a tenant, advocate, or decision-maker, the information shared here is intended to inform and benefit those struggling to find affordability in today’s housing market.

About

My Name is Will Knauss

I am a young professional working in the affordable housing industry. My professional experience is grounded in direct service, where I work with low-income households navigating the Housing Choice Voucher program and other affordable housing systems. After working on the front lines of housing access, I saw how difficult it is for residents, advocates, and even policymakers to access local and relevant data about housing affordability. This project is an effort to make that information public, transparent, and actionable.
